Forum: GratefulDead Subject: A 5 Star SB 76' Diamond in the Rough...My First Review!

Just stumbled upon this show late last night and posted my first review. Its hard for me to believe that no one has reviewed this (or the Charlie Miller SB)...but perhaps I have different taste than others.
To me this is a beautiful and rockin' show....with the second set being a must have, in my book.
I hope you all with give a listen when you can...if time is short listen to the Sugaree and the entire Second set.

Just FYI, the phrase "diamond in the rough" refers to someone or something who has potential but is still a work in progress (as in a not-yet-cut diamond). I think you're instead using it to refer to a beautiful but undiscovered thing. See:

The correct phrase in my opinion would be "a hidden jewel"

Pretty sure these are brand-new sources, which explains the lack of comments, but thanks for the heads up. There is nothing like 1976 ...

Nice review of a great '76 treat, though I thought you didn't give that Minglewood the love it deserves. Pretty special version, OAHO (one aging heads opinion - lets see if that catches on).

OAHO - I like it, but should there be a cut-off date? In other words, if you are over 50? over 40? conceived in the back of a VW van after Brent's death? Since it's your term, I'll leave it up to you.

BTW, I'm enjoying the show (and loved that Missoula '74 from this morning).
